Entertainers That Wore White Suits
If you find yourself with more time on your hands than is healthy and watching an old movie with Elvis in it wearing one of his trade mark White Suits – you might start to think who else in the entertainment world used to wear a White Suit. These are just a few that you might remember:
- Firstly, for those that are old enough to remember – Liberace wore a white suit with his long dress coat and the Candelabra on his piano. What an entertainer he was.
- And then who remembers the Black and White Minstrels – you must be really old.
- The brother in the Carpenters lonely days and Sundays always get me down – was a fine wearer of a white suit.
- Those high rolling high pitched Beach Boys with the sounds of the summer, loved their white suits.
- Cliff Richard in his early days with his black quiff and suede shoes, always donned a white suit.
- Who will ever forget John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever and how we have all spent hours on the dance floor Night Fever Night Fever, strutting his stuff in his immaculate white suit.
- Englebert Humperdink (yes that really was his name) sang “Save the last dance for me” in a big white suit with dangerously wide lapels.
- Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones strutting his stuff “Still Cannot Get Any Satisfaction” – apart from when he was in his white suit.
- Last but not least the King himself Elvis Presley. Sometimes we may forget how great he was. Arguably the best ever entertainer who melted many a wooden heart. Plus in a white suit, he set the girls hearts on fire.
This is only a brief list of entertainers who wore white suits. There are definitely many more that have entertained us over the years and they all have one thing in common they all looked the “amazing” in a white suit.
